Free visual inspection and a written scope of work before any mitigation begins - photos, moisture readings, and drying logs go in your claim file
The scope we write is the scope we bill. Anything new gets shown to you, in writing, before we touch it.
Meet the Los Angeles Team Behind DryMark Restoration Los Angeles
We’re the crew that shows up when your kitchen’s under three inches of water or a mold patch has spread behind the drywall in your Silver Lake bungalow. Every person on this page has been background-checked, licensed, and trained to the same standard we apply whether we’re drying out a studio in Koreatown or remediating fire damage in Pasadena. What ties us together isn’t a handbook. It’s that we’ve all seen what happens when restoration work gets rushed, and we don’t do that.
Our People
Alicia Brennan, Owner
I started DryMark Restoration Los Angeles in 2011 after six years as a claims adjuster, and I built this company around one problem I kept seeing: homeowners losing money because the restoration company didn’t document properly. The adjuster would deny a line item, the contractor would shrug, and the homeowner ate the difference. That’s why every job we run produces a photo record, a written scope signed before we start, and daily moisture logs formatted to IICRC standards. I still review the documentation on large losses personally. When I’m not on a job site, I’m usually on the phone with an adjuster arguing over a dehumidifier charge that another company failed to justify with psychrometric data - the relationship between temperature, humidity, and vapor pressure that proves drying equipment was actually necessary.
Marcus T., Lead Water Technician
Marcus has been with us since 2017 and holds IICRC Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) and Applied Structural Drying (ASD) certifications. He’s the person we send when a burst pipe has flooded multiple floors or when a Santa Ana wind-driven rain event has compromised roof decking in the Hollywood Hills. Marcus specializes in tertiary drying - the final phase where we drop vapor pressure differentials low enough to pull bound moisture out of dense materials like oak flooring or lath-and-plaster walls common in 1920s Los Angeles homes. Off the job, he restores vintage motorcycles and applies the same patience to both: he once spent three weeks tracking a moisture gradient through a Bel Air subfloor that another company had declared dry.
Elena R., Senior Mold Remediation Installer
Elena joined us in 2019 with prior experience in asbestos abatement, which gives her unusual precision with containment builds and negative air pressure systems. She’s certified in IICRC Mold Remediation (AMRT) and handles our most sensitive jobs: occupied homes with immunocompromised residents, historic properties in Hancock Park with original plaster, and post-remediation clearance projects where the hygienist has already failed another contractor’s work. Elena’s human detail is that she talks to homeowners like they’re present at the dinner table, not a sales appointment. She once spent forty minutes explaining to a nervous landlord in Echo Park exactly why we needed to remove six inches of drywall rather than spray and paint over it - and then documented every cut with photos that got the full scope approved by the adjuster.
David K., Service Coordinator
David answers the phones and dispatches crews, which sounds administrative until you understand that he’s the person who decides whether your call at 2 a.m. needs a full emergency response or can wait for morning assessment without risking secondary damage. He’s been with us since 2020 and knows every technician’s current location, equipment availability, and specialty. David is the one who confirms your written scope before it goes out, checks that photo documentation uploaded correctly, and follows up after completion to make sure the 365-Day Done Right Promise isn’t just a signed document in your file. He grew up in the San Fernando Valley and still lives there, which means he actually knows what “the 405 is a parking lot” means when he’s estimating arrival times to Studio City or Sherman Oaks.
Javier M., Restoration Apprentice
Javier started with us in 2023 after working in residential construction, and he’s completing his IICRC Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician (FSRT) certification this year. We paired him with Marcus for water jobs and Elena for mold containment builds, which means he’s learning both the technical and the customer-facing sides of the trade simultaneously. Javier’s still young enough in the field that he asks the questions veterans sometimes stop asking, and that’s valuable. His current project is mastering Injectidry hardwood floor drying systems, which use vacuum panels to create negative pressure across the wood surface and pull moisture from the subfloor without removing the flooring. He lives in East Los Angeles and commutes to jobs across the county, which means he’s seen the full range of building ages and construction types this city throws at us.
One Standard, Every Job

Every person listed here works under The Haven Standard, the operating framework Alicia Brennan established when she founded this company. Haven Standard, Clause 1: a written price before any work starts, with no exceptions. That means Marcus can’t open his truck until you’ve signed the scope. Elena can’t set up containment until the photo documentation protocol is active. David can’t close your file until the drying log, photo record, and signed warranty are uploaded and verified. The 365-Day Done Right Promise applies to every technician’s work equally - if Javier’s first solo fire restoration needs correction six months later, we make it right without a debate about whose fault it was. We’re independently owned and operated, not a franchise network, which means Alicia answers for every job personally. The equipment we deploy - Dri-Eaz, Phoenix, XPOWER, B-Air, and Injectidry systems - is the same across our service area, and the documentation standards that turn restoration invoices into payable insurance claims don’t change based on which crew member responded.
